規則說明 (Rules):

1. There will be 12 seminar talks in this semester. Report submission without the attendance in the class will not receive points. You need to submit 12 qualified reports and can probably get A. A total number <12 for submitted reports will directly result in F for your final grade. Bonuses are acquired according to your on-site questions or critical comments for the speaker; thereby, asking one question to the speaker with telling your name deserves one grade point, two questions for two grade points, and so on (up to A+). Each report needs to contain more than 100 words. A short report will cause the deduction in the final grade by one grade point. Your final grad, that can possibly drop to F, is based on the balance of your active interactions with speakers and total number of short reports.

本學期演講預計約 12次。學期成績將以出席/心得報告與提問計算。每位學生須繳交12次心得報告並可得到基本成績A，未提交12次專題演講心得報告則期末成績不及格 F。每次與講者互動提問向助教告知姓名後加總成績一級分，累計直至A+。每次心得報告至少100個字以上，心得內容需與該次演講內容相符，未達100字或較簡略的心得報告將於期末統計總次數後由總成績每次扣一個級分至F。

2. You need to surrender your report IN PERSON at the exit of the lecture hall after a seminar talk. You can only submit ONE report for yourself and are disallowed to do it for other students. 

心得報告於下課後交至教室門口外助教處，一人一次只能交一份心得報告，不可代交。如發現有代寫情形，雙方學期成績零分

3. If you are asked by your advisors to attend other presentations/conferences which are not managed by this Colloquium ESS/NES 500000, you can waive to attend the class of the week by filling out the application form of alternatives with the agreement from your advisor. You should first provide the application from to the TA (either a hard copy or an e-mail) before the 12 pm of Wednesdays, then submit the report of alternative talk (a hard copy or an e-mail) to the TAs in the following week before the 12 pm of Tuesdays.  

替代演講:對象為當周有必要參加其他學術演講或當天無法參加專題演講的同學。每次需填寫替代演講申請表格，經指導教授簽名認可，並於當周專題演講日週三中午12點前送交助教受理(親送或掃瞄電子檔e-mail皆可)。該替代演講心得單必須於下週二中午12點前提交助教否則不予計分。

4. The report form and the alternative form will be announced on iLMS/moodle or email to you prior to the evenings of Mondays. You will need to bring the hard copy to the class.

演講心得及替代演講表格最晚於演講當周星期一晚上會以e-mail寄給各位同學，請大家自行列印，不會當場補發。
